Three Dogs Stray and Starving for Food and Help

Posted on Friday, August 14th

UPDATE! We caught Simpson on 8/16/15. He is pictured to the right!  Starving for food and attention, these three dogs have been sighted for the last few days at a park, Simpson Elementary School and a nearby neighborhood. One of the trio is severely emaciated and looks near death. We have been calling him Simpson. Simpson's ribs are sticking out in every direction and you can see the spine on his back. His ears look to be covered in bug bites and need medication. They must be so painful! We don't know how long he can survive on his own.… READ MORE >

Strudel Lost Her Best Friend, But We Are Going to Save Her Life!

Posted on Thursday, August 6th

Strudel Lost Her Best Friend, But We Are Going to Save Her Life! The call came yesterday, from animal control. They had two lethargic cats who had suffered some sort of blunt-force trauma; along with maggot infestations, wounds, swelling, and infections. They were gravely ill. Could we help? Sadly, before we could rescue them, Beatrice lost her battle. Strudel is still fighting; and we have volunteers on the way to transport her from animal control to emergency. Our "little" kittens, less than 4 months, have 1/2 price adoption fees - just $62.50.  3. ALL of our adult "Shelter Dwellers" have $9 adoption fees. Visit the shelter this week! Let’s save some puppies!

Posted on Wednesday, August 5th

What words come to mind when you hear, ”PUPPIES!?” Some people might answer with cute, puppy breath, innocent, baby, soft and playful.  How about the words homeless, risk of death, sick. Thousands of puppies enter local area shelters each year and they do not all make it out alive. People wrongly assume puppies are all saved at shelters since they are tiny and young, but we know that is not true. Puppies are the most vulnerable to disease in shelters due to their weak immune systems. Rather than treat puppies for illnesses they are often put to death. Shelters such… READ MORE >
