Looking for a Fun Way to Brighten a Shelter Dog's Day - and Yours?

Our Doggies Day Out program gives our pups a chance to stretch their legs, explore the world outside the shelter, spend time with awesome people like you, and get more socialized increasing their chances of adoption. Whether you're taking a stroll, grabbing a pup cup, or just hanging out, you're giving a dog a break - and a better shot at finding their forever home.

Why Be A Part of This?

- It enriches the lives on the dogs in our program, giving them a much needed break from shelter life.
- It encourages community engagement with not only the dogs in our program, but all of Furkids Animal Rescue.
- The dogs that are taken into the community will be seen by more potential adopters - increasing their odds of adoption!
- Getting out of the shelter for a few hours lowers their stress levels, helping their physical and mental health while waiting to be adopted.
- Its a fun opportunity to join the Furkids mission, and hang out with a new best friend - no strings attatched!

How it Works:

- Use the Volunteer Hub link above to sign up!
- Take a Furkid out to stretch their legs, and have an adventure!
- After your adventure, fill out a quick report card about how it went and submit any photos you might've taken. If you post about your adventure on your own social media, tag us at #FurkidsFieldTrip #DoggieDayOut! Please make sure you also include the animals name in your post - so interested adopters know who to ask for.
