Furkids Saved Me: Scruffles, Retired Alley Cat Hi, I'm Scruffles! I’d been homeless pretty much all my life, and it was getting harder and harder to survive. I had to keep moving from place to place. Scary people chased me, and I got in to all sorts of trouble. I was hungry, and I was cold and wet a lot too. My ears are nicked, my tail has been broken and is crooked, and my ear hurt so badly for so long that now I have a permanent head tilt. I look like a mess. But one day when I was hiding under a house, a nice lady… READ MORE >

Posted on Wednesday, December 18th

Home for the Holidays - A Big Year for Furkids As 2019 winds down, we can't help but feel blessed and thrilled for the progress Furkids has made just this year alone, thanks, in part, to you. We have saved more than 4,100 cats and dogs to date - that's 757 more than we did at this point in 2018. Each one has a unique story – a broken heart, a devastating injury, a fear of pain or hunger when Furkids changes their lives. This year, Miranda's Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Atlanta tour stop at the Infinite Energy Arena is on November 22, 2019. To rally the support of concertgoers and help animals in need, Miranda and Live Nation are offering up the chance for… READ MORE >

Little Brittney Gets a Second Chance

Little Brittney Gets a Second Chance Updated! Brittney Adopted! Little Brittney was found as a tiny 4-5 week old kitten, alone in a storm drain in Mcdonough. She had a very severe infected wound on her right paw, which would soon become septic without treatment. Brittney had most likely been dumped, and with the challenges of being a young kitten and the difficulty getting around, her prospects for survival were not good at all. Fortunately the kind woman who found her decided to get her to Furkids. The wound initially healed, but then began to cause little Brittany severe pain. Every effort was made to prevent amputation,… READ MORE >
