After a summer of fun, sitting down to seriously hit the books may not be that high on their list, right? Finding a way to positively and effectively reinforce studying is a challenge, as all parents know. Save a Life this Weekend with Furkids at Petco! Pets truly change our lives, so let’s save theirs! Furkids has partnered with the Petco Foundation to invite you to save a life by adopting a pet. On July 13th and 14th*, 12:00 - 4:00 p.m., Furkids will have pets available for adoption at select Petco locations in the Atlanta area. It’s a New Day at Furkids Today, Spero and Lucky G will escape a life of starvation and pain on the streets. Sheldon will escape a life of neglect. Charles Xavier will learn what it's like to have a loving home and to walk without struggle. Ten dogs will escape the agony of abuse in a Georgia puppy mill. Confetti Finally Goes Home

Confetti Finally Goes Home 5,291 days. That’s 14 ½ years. Until April 30th, Confetti was the kitty who had been with Furkids the longest. Confetti was born in November of 2002 – the same year Furkids was founded, and came to Furkids in November 2004 from the Atlanta Humane Society, which means she may have spent her entire life in shelters. Confetti was adopted and returned several times over the years. Usually she was returned because of inconsistent litter box use. The last time she was adopted was in 2015. A TwoFur is Twice the Joy Michaela, a gray, green-eyed kitty was found in the garden center of a local Home Depot in 2014. She was terrified when she arrived at Furkids and was placed in a room with another shy kitten, a brown tabby named Bella. Shy kitties are often overlooked, so the two shared the same space for several years. Over time, they gravitated toward each other, finding comfort in each other’s presence.
