Posted on Thursday, March 12th

Six weeks ago Furkids saved 34 cats from a local shelter that was forced to close. So we are excited about our open house on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, because we will showcase additional cage-free space, second surgical suite, and home for FIV+ cats made possible by a local donor. But the goal is as many free adoptions as possible! It's the only way Furkids can continue to rescue, heal and provide forever companions to more people. Jordan, a junior at Parkview High School, collected items for four weeks. She produced flyers and distributed them to teachers, students, her church choir and her mother's colleagues. At only 16 years old she was able to collect 1,000 items including shoes, clothes, household goods and accessories which can now be re-sold at our thrift stores. The items have a thrift store… READ MORE >

Posted on Thursday, March 12th

A Good Samaritan came across Noel roaming in a desolate area with only an abandoned camper shell for shelter. Noel was taken to Animal Control with the hope that an owner would reclaim her. Noel is a nice medium size dog at about 45 lbs. She is housebroken and is at home on the sofa or the bed. Noel is a social girl and loves to go! She is… READ MORE >
