Back in early January we posted a notice similar to this one asking for volunteers at one of our newest adoption centers -- PETCO Sandy Springs, located at 5938 Roswell Road NE. We are posting again to ask for more wonderful, generous, appreciated volunteer support at this location. Specific needs are : Volunteer Manager -- someone to organize schedules, fill open shifts, and generally oversee the operations of the center. Furkids had some wonderful volunteer groups visit in the month of February. They are our ♥♥♥ VALENTINES ♥♥♥ Girl Scout Troop #29316 brought some donations and sponsored Pirate & Rico for the month of February! Thank you, girls! Nicholas is 7 years old and in the 2nd grade. He and his dad brought some donations from the First Montessori School of Atlanta. Volunteers Wanted: PETCO Sandy Springs

Furkids is excited to now be at the PETCO Sandy Springs adoption center, located at 5938 Roswell Road NE. We need volunteers to help support the center full-time. Currently, we are housing adoptable cats at this location Fridays - Sundays only. We would like to start being there full-time as soon as we can in order to give our cats more exposure to potential adopters -- thus possibly expediting more cats into forever homes. We Were Awarded a Grant We are very honored to have been chosen for a $2000 grant from the Bernice Barbour Foundation. This private and very generous foundation has awarded many grants to some prestigious and incredibly worthy causes. We are excited to be counted now among their grant recipients. Group Fun at Furkids

We love having groups of volunteers come to the shelter. It always means that there will be lots of smiles, fun, laughter, learning, and much needed attention for the cats. Our shelter is so magical, that nearly every group that visits for the first time ends up wanting to come back again! Here are some groups that stopped by in October.
