Laughter Saves Lives:  Why You Need to Check Out Furkids Comedy Night!

Furkids Animal Rescue hosts many fun and exciting events to raise crucial funds to save animal lives, and a crowd favorite is always our quarterly Furkids Comedy Night! Since launching this unique standup comedy showcase in February of 2023, we've seen firsthand how humor and heart can come together to create something truly special.

What Makes Comedy Night Special?

• Furkids promises attendees a top notch comedy show featuring some of the best talent in Georgia, and even other surrounding states. From touring headliners to rising local stars, you really never know who might pop in! 

• With our diverse lineup, we showcase a variety of different styles and humor at every show. We know the importance of keeping it fresh!

• Your $35 ticket not only gets you access to the show, but also includes an open bar and snacks. You heard us right - an open bar!

• All proceeds raised from Comedy Night go directly to the life saving mission of Furkids Animal Rescue. When you purchase a ticket and have a great time, you can also feel good about making a difference for an animal in need. We are thrilled to announce that we have raised over $25,000 from Furkids Comedy Night - that's a lot of animal lives saved through love and laughter!

How did this all start?

Upon the completion of the Giaquinto Event Center at Shiloh Gardens, a special event space located at Furkids headquarters, we decided to host different types of community events that would invite the public to learn more about the Furkids lifesaving mission and see our headquarters. 

Why stand up comedy? Furkids staff member, Zac Hadlock, has been with the organization for nearly three years and is also an up and coming comedian here in Atlanta. Zac has performed on The Laughing Skull Lounge's “Best of Atlanta” showcase as well as multiple “Don’t Tell" productions in the southeast. Passionate about stand-up and animals, Zac stated “When we saw an opportunity to put on a large comedy show that would benefit the animals in our program, it felt like a dream come true! There isn’t anything I enjoy more than bringing joy to people, doing comedy, and helping out our animals. I am beyond proud of what we have built”. His dual passion for comedy and animal welfare makes him the perfect host for our Comedy Nights.

Our team got to work on producing the first show, and Zac works hard to always bring the best talent around. Now, we have had 6 successful comedy nights - and we aren’t stopping any time soon!
