Running two shelters, an FIV house for our kitties, a full-time thrift store, hundreds of foster homes and 13 adoption centers takes A LOT of hard work! We continue to grow and save more animals with the help of over 500 active volunteers around Georgia. Volunteering for Furkids does not mean you need to commit every weekend to helping. Puppy and kitten season is approaching and so is the need for your help to save these small lives! From donating formula and wee-wee pads, to fostering babies while they grow up WE NEED YOU! There is nothing more joyous than a squirming, big bellied, kissing, nibbling, puppy with puppy breath or a mewing, cuddling, fuzzy ball of warm kitten! We continue breaking records! 226 animals RESCUED in April 2014, 116 adoptions

April 2014 proved to be a record breaking month for Furkids and Small Dog Rescue - saving 226 animals. In the same month we adopted out 116 animals. Do the math! We have a LOT of animals in need of loving homes. This month we took in some of the MOST difficult medical cases we have ever seen. We rescued dozens of bottle babies orphaned with no chance at survival. Our volunteers and foster homes STEPPED UP and helped save so many lives. What Gives? Volunteer Opportunities for Atlanta Kids

Little ones sometimes need a gentle reminder why the “gimmes” have got to go. What better way to have them focus on things that matter rather than things than to involve them in a local volunteer project.
