Celebrating a Milestone Year: Furkids 2024 Year in Review

As 2024 concludes, we at Furkids Animal Rescue reflect on an incredible year filled with growth, compassion, and new milestones. This year has been nothing short of transformative, and it’s all thanks to our dedicated community of supporters, volunteers, and staff. Our Life Saving Impact

In 2024, we cared for over 5,046 homeless animals, provided 4,317 spay/neuter surgeries, and witnessed over 4,005 Furkids find their forever homes. Each number represents a life changed, a family completed, and a second chance for an animal in need.

The Fort and Michelle Felker Cat Shelter’s First Year of Operation

In its first full year of operation, the Fort and Michelle Felker Cat Shelter became a sanctuary for thousands of homeless cats. Since the shelter's grand opening (12/2023), we have facilitated over 3,000 cat adoptions, helping animals find their forever homes and bringing joy to the families who love them.

We Broke Ground on Our Biggest Expansion yet!

This year marked the beginning of the most ambitious expansion in Furkids’ history. We broke ground on the Giaquinto Medical Center and Sutherlin Dog Shelter at the Furkids headquarters campus — the next step in our capital campaign - and the next chapter in our life saving mission. These new facilities will revolutionize the care we can provide to animals in need and strengthen our ability to serve the community.

As we celebrate these achievements, we’re also filled with excitement for what’s to come. The Giaquinto Medical Center and Sutherlin Dog Shelter will open doors to endless possibilities, and we’re committed to saving even more lives in 2025!
