Sadie | Furkid of the Week
Aww...look at this super cutie pie. Sweet Sadie!
If you are looking to own a single pet -- a sole companion on which to lavish all your attention, and in turn have just one animal that will lavish all their loyalty on you -- then Sadie is a perfect choice. This sweet little girl gets a lot of attention from visitors because she is a strikingly beautiful gray tuxedo kitty. She's also quite vocal when people come into her room, indicating that she loves attention. Shelter staff report that she will love to be in your lap every chance she gets. She is very friendly -- with humans.
Sadie needs to be the only pet/animal in a household because she simply does not do well with other animals, especially dogs. She had a very bad experience with a dog right before she was rescued by one of our volunteers. She was adopted by a family a few years ago, but when they got a new dog Sadie showed aggression towards the dog. The family ultimately decided to keep the dog and return Sadie to Furkids. It is clear that her early experience with dogs has had a significant impact on her. So, we want to make sure that her forever home will be a safe haven for her. We now know that her potential adopters should commit to protecting her from having to interact in any way with dogs. And for that matter, with other animals in general.
Sadie is cat #8232. If you would like to meet her, you can make an appointment to come by the shelter. Or you can apply to adopt her here.
