Ga Gives Day is Coming....

Georgia Gives Day is a 24-hour statewide giving marathon to benefit the non-profits located in Georgia. It is a day for friends like you to donate to the charities that mean the most to you. 

Last year, Furkids achieved a milestone in our history – we raised over $30,000 on GA Gives Day 2013, making us the top performer out of 2,200 participating local charities! Our supporters helped us win multiple challenges during the day, including the most individual donors of ANY Georgia non-profit and winning Furkids' animals a $5,000 prize!

We are ready to do it again this year!  

Here is why we need your help now, more than ever.

Already in 2014, we have rescued over 2,000 cats and dogs and adopted more than 1,600 animals into loving homes. Many of these animals were sick or injured when they arrived and in need of critical care and the vet bills never are recovered from their adoption fees. 

On average, it costs a pet owner about $900 a year to care for one healthy pet. That includes food, water, litter, toys and yearly medical care.

$900 x 2,000 animals = 1.8 MILLION DOLLARS. Yes, you read that right. Caring for 2,000 animals a year would cost the average person 1.8 MILLION DOLLARS. 

Last year's gifts provided lifesaving emergency surgeries and treatments, medication, and more for the hundreds of animals we saved. And this year we have  saved over 30% more animals than we saved last year! Thanks to your support.

Today, we are gearing up for Georgia Gives Day on November 13. We need your commitment to achieve our goal of raising $30,000 on 11/13/14! Together we can do this!
