Scruffy’s Road Home
"I was dumped at a rural county shelter, and I knew I was doomed."
"I mean, who would take a chance on a blind, one-eyed, senior dog with multiple cancerous tumors covered in his own filth? I heard them whisper the word euthanize and I knew my time was running out. I actually felt a sense of relief after all these years of neglect. My hope for a sweet life had run dry and I was ready to cross the Rainbow Bridge….until Furkids saved my life!”
Furkids received a plea for help about Scruffy and his scheduled euthanasia. With his life on the line, we were determined to rescue this ailing pup and give him the most precious gift of all--a love-filled life. While Scruffy is too weak to handle surgeries and/or any aggressive cancer treatments, he is now surrounded by boundless love in a hospice foster home with his new pack of humans.
With his quirky, toothless smile, he’s surrounded by hope--and spoiled to the core. Scruffy spends his days cruising in his stroller and getting an abundance of human cuddles.
It is only through the generous support of donors like you that Furkids is able to rescue and care for sick but still deserving animals like Scruffy and give them the respect they so rightfully deserve.
Won’t you please consider making an end-of-year gift to help Furkids continue this lifesaving work?
