Vandalism at Furkids
As a non-profit, Furkids relies on the donations from people like you to care for more than 600 cats and dogs daily at two shelters, 13 adoption centers and an FIV+ house. Every penny counts and is vital to our efforts to save as many lives as possible. We even operate a thrift store in Norcross to help fund our rescue efforts by reselling your gently used items in order to raise money for our shelter animals.
During this past snowstorm, we were horrified to find three of our vehicles vandalized with broken windows, stollen radios, broken dashboards and debris everywhere. These three vehicles, including our thrift store box truck, are used for everything from picking up pet food to Costco orders and most importantly animal transportation.
We filled a police report and had two local news crews come view the damage for the evening news. Those responsible remain at large and likely will never be caught, and Furkids now is stuck footing the bills for insurance deductibles and repairs. We would rather spend our money on saving lives, not repairing vehicles broken by bad people. If you would like to contribute to the repairs and help fund our efforts during this extra challenging time please consider making a donation of ANY size below. Thank you for your support!
