Small Dogs Win Big at the Rescue Rodeo

Every year the Atlanta Pet Fair, a weekend long grooming expo, holds the Rescue Rodeo. Groomers from all over the country participate and groom dogs currently in rescue needing forever homes. This year we were asked to bring nine dogs to the competition.

Groomers are judged by professional judges and the top 10 winners receive cash prizes. The groomer receives a prize, and the winning dogs also receives cash prizes for their rescue. Our dogs made us proud and won over $1,000 in prize money! We took home 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 8th places!

Tiffy won 1st place and a $500 prize for our shelter! Her groomer has actually applied to adopt her, which is extra special since she is partially blind and deaf.

Killington won 3rd place and a $300 prize for our shelter! Killington is still available for adoption.

Tralee won 4th place and a $200 prize for our shelter! She is still available for adoption. Tralee's groomer also donated her winnings to our shelter! Isn't that sweet!?!
