Featured Furkid - Dawn
After being abandoned at a local PETCO, Dawn found her way to Furkids/Small Dog Rescue. Dawn has been with us on and off for a year and is ready for her forever family to find her! Cattle Dogs are incredibly smart and driven. So far she has mastered walking on a leash, playing fetch (as you can see in her video), potty training, and a few basic commands. She has bundles of energy and charisma to boot! The possibilities are endless for this pooch. She would make an excellent running, jogging, or hiking partner. She also would love to learn agility and/or lots of tricks.
As with most herding type dogs she needs to "work" or have an activity to keep her busy, so someone with experience owning a herding dog would be ideal. We often take her to doggy daycare at Camp Bow Wow and she does wonderful with the other dogs!
Dawn is looking for a single-family home with other dogs to play with and a nice fenced in yard or athletic pet parent.
