Eureka! She exclaimed as they drove her to emergency…

Eureka EUREKA she sadly moaned in pain as she was rushed to emergency vets late last night, and so, Eureka became her name. Often animal control officers will call us with a sick or injured animal knowing we will do EVERYTHING in our power to rescue the animal in need and that was the case with Eureka last night.

We were told she was very ill, dehydrated, severely congested in her eyes and nose, blood in urine causing pain, emaciated and hungry and lethargic! At first it was thought she had a possible toxin ingestion, so she began in IV fluids for dehydration and antibiotics.eureka2

Veterinarians soon realized she had Pyrometria, an infected uterus causing her body to become septic. If left untreated she most likely would die a painful death. Luckily she is safe in our care!

She is undergoing the surgery today and needs YOUR help to get through this. We are told this is a VERY delicate surgery. If the uterus or tubes rupture it can become even more dangerous. Emergency vet bills and surgeries can cost thousands of dollars we simply don't have, HELP NOW by donating any amount.
