{{sigh...}} Look at her. This precious kitten is a staff and volunteer fave - absolutely gorgeous, with a PURRsonality to match! But Arendelle has had a rough ride in her young life.

Urinary incontinence is not something people want to discuss, unless they are making jokes ("I laughed so hard that the tears ran down my leg!"); and certainly not something that rescuers expect to encounter in kittens. So, when Arendelle was experiencing, um, "leakage"...well, we knew something was very, very wrong.

Several trips to specialists revealed nothing. Possibly nerve damage, maybe it would resolve as she got older. So Arendelle - an otherwise healthy and playful young girl - waited for her problem to go away.

IT DIDN'T.

Then, during her routine spay surgery, the doc decided to do a little looking around; and we FINALLY got some answers - Arendelle doesn't have a working bladder. Technically, she has a bladder, but it doesn't fill the way it should; and it doesn't empty where it should. It just leaks. And it won't heal itself.

The ONLY option for Arendelle is surgery.

Here is the GOOD news - the surgery can be curative! Even if it doesn't completely solve the problem, there are concurrent medical treatments available. So our precious little friend can play like a kitten, and run free; without leaving a trail of "tears"! She can become what EVERY homeless rescue critter longs to be...Arendelle will be ADOPTABLE!
