A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Piccolo! Piccolo is a 9-month-old German Shepherd mix who was recently surrendered to us when his owner could no longer care for him. This sweet boy is full of potential and already showing what a wonderful companion he can be. He has moderate to high energy levels, loves the company of other dogs, and is crate trained. Piccolo is mostly housetrained, though like many young pups, he may have the occasional accident when he gets a little too excited. He can be timid with new people at first and is sensitive to loud noises like thunder, but with patience and gentle introductions, he warms up beautifully. Piccolo’s favorite way to spend his day is lounging on a soft blanket and enjoying short walks where he can quietly take in the world around him. He does have a touch of food possessiveness, so he’ll do best in a home that understands this and can guide him with positive reinforcement. For this reason, we recommend a home without small or young children. If you’re looking for a loyal, tenderhearted pup who just needs a bit of guidance to thrive, Piccolo is ready to find his forever family. Piccolo currently weighs about 32 lbs., is approximately 9 months old (est. birth date 12/01/2024), and his adoption fee is $315. Piccolo has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
