Elle is a sweet 6-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix with a story of resilience. Rescued from a hoarding situation, she's slowly learning that the world can be a safe and gentle place, and she's blossoming more every day. Her foster says Elle is a quiet, easygoing girl with no separation anxiety, making her a wonderfully low-stress companion. She's house trained using pee pads and is already getting comfortable using a fenced backyard for potty breaks. She's still a bit shy out in public, but she's making steady progress on the leash and enjoys walks once she's familiar with her surroundings. Because of her timid nature, she'll need a fenced-in yard as she continues learning how to safely and confidently walk on leash. What Elle wants most is love. She adores human attention and cuddles, and lighting up for affection is her favorite thing in the world. Elle gets along great with other dogs, making her an easy addition to a canine-loving family. She also has a beautiful, silky coat that her foster says has very minimal shedding. Because of her background, Elle would do best in a calm, patient home where she can continue to build confidence at her own pace. She's not looking for excitement - just a soft place to land, someone to snuggle with, and time to learn that good things are here to stay.
