Animal Bio
Oscar is a 4-year-old mixed breed weighing in at just 12 pounds - but what he lacks in size, he more than makes up for in heart. Oscar and his siblings were rescued after being dumped in a rural area and left to fend for themselves. When they arrived, they were severely emaciated, basically skin and bones, and in desperate need of care. Thankfully, Oscar has been recovering in a loving foster home where he’s slowly and safely gaining weight and learning that life can be good. Despite everything he’s been through, Oscar is an incredibly sweet little guy with a gentle spirit. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has a silly personality that quickly wins people over. Oscar is still learning some of the basics. He’s working on leash walking and isn’t fully housetrained yet, so he’ll need a patient adopter who’s willing to continue helping him learn. Because he’s still getting the hang of walking on a leash, a home with a securely fenced yard is a must for him. Oscar may be small, but his heart is huge, and once you meet him, it won’t take long for this special little survivor to steal yours. Oscar currently weighs about 12 pounds and is about 4 years old (est. birth date 1/30/2022), and is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. Oscar is currently in foster care. If you'd like to know more about him or meet him in person, please fill out an adoption survey at www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog and our team will reach out in the following days to chat more. You must be 21+ to adopt.
