Meet Fischer.. an adorable little Dachshund looking for someone patient enough to earn his trust. Fischer was surrendered to animal control along with his dad and brother, and he can be scared and skittish as he adjusts. We're looking for a special home with the heart and patience to help Fischer learn that people can be trusted. Since he isn't leash-trained yet and is a flight risk right now, he'll need a home with a secure, small-breed-proof fenced yard. If you have other dogs at home, we'll want to do an introduction first to see how Fischer gets along with them - he did tend to get a bit feisty with his brother, though that may just be sibling dynamics rather than a sign of how he'll do with other dogs in general. Give Fischer the time and gentleness he needs, and he'll reward you by becoming the best boy ever. Fischer currently weighs about 17 pounds and his estimated birthdate is July 2025.
