Frida's Foundation Has Merged with Furkids Animal Rescue & Shelters to Expand Life-Saving Efforts Through A New Community Cat Program
Furkids has merged with Frida's Foundation, a volunteer-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to aid community cats and educate the public. Furkids absorbed Frida's Foundation in 2024, combining the organization’s resources and expertise to enhance their shared mission of saving animal lives and supporting communities in need. Frida's Foundation, founded in 2019, was a legacy foundation honoring the lives of Katy, Max, and Frida - and has made a great impact for people and animals through high-volume spay/neuter programs, community outreach, collaboration, and advocacy. Since its inception, Frida's Foundation has:
● Spayed/neutered over 3,500 cats
● Sent more than 2,500 cats to rescue
● Provided food assistance to over 4,500 cats
These achievements have been driven by Frida’s Foundation founder, Diviya Roney. Their hard work was always driven by a commitment to lifting people out of despair and giving hope to the hopeless, a mission that aligns perfectly with the core values of Furkids Animal Rescue & Shelters.
