-Good with Dogs -Diaper User -Cuddler Here's what his previous foster said about Buckwheat: "Wheatie is an absolute dream. He's happiest cuddled up on your lap getting belly scratches. He loves to put his paws on your chest and lean into you for hugs. He is very treat motivated. He loves chewing on bully sticks. He's a champ with stairs and will go down to the yard to potty when taken out frequently. Due to his heart medications, he drinks a lot and has to pee often. He wears a diaper well. Great with other dogs and kids. Great in the car. Does a great job in his crate overnight." Buckwheat has a condition called degenerative valve disease, which means he’ll need daily heart medication and a little extra care—but thanks to that treatment, he's feeling good and enjoying life! While his condition may eventually shorten his time with us, many dogs with similar diagnoses live happy lives for years with the right care. Buckwheat is looking for a loving home where he can spend his days soaking up affection, lounging in cozy spots, and sharing quiet moments with his favorite people. We are learning more about all of our new Furkids everyday. We will update once we learn more. Buckwheat currently weighs about 14lbs., is approximately 7 years old (est. birth date 12/23/2017), and her adoption fee is $85. Buckwheat has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
