Thanks to her foster family, Missy has made wonderful progress! Missy is still a shy, fearful girl when meeting new people. The world can feel like a big, scary place to a dog who hasn’t always felt safe, so she needs a family who understands that trust takes time. She may not be the dog who runs up to greet every visitor or instantly asks for affection, but with patience, gentle encouragement, and a predictable routine, she has the opportunity to blossom into a more confident companion. Missy needs a family who will let her set the pace. Her ideal home will be calm and understanding, with people who celebrate the little victories, respect her boundaries, and never force interactions before she is ready. She needs someone who sees her potential rather than focusing on her fears, and who understands that building a bond with a scared dog is a journey worth taking.
