A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Twirl! A beautiful, intelligent 3-year-old shepherd mix with a zest for life and a heart ready to bond! This active, fun-loving girl is always up for an adventure, whether it’s a long walk, a play session, or learning something new. Twirl already has a great foundation of skills and knows basic commands like sit, down, and touch. She does well on leash and checks in often, though she may pull a bit when excited. She’s very responsive and eager to learn, making her a great candidate for continued training, especially when treats are involved! She’s friendly with people and has some dog friends she absolutely loves to play with. That said, Twirl can be a bit selective with other dogs, so thoughtful introductions are important. Due to her high prey drive, she’s not a match for homes with cats or smaller dogs. Twirl would do best with a confident, experienced owner who can continue guiding her training and provide the consistency she needs to succeed. A secure, fenced yard will give her the perfect space to safely burn off energy and enjoy her playful side. Our kennel staff reports that Twirl is doing wonderfully with her routine and is keeping her space clean. She’s already showing just how much she can thrive with structure and care. With patience, consistency, and love, Twirl has incredible potential to continue growing into an amazing companion. Twirl currently weighs about 53lbs., is approximately 3 years old (est. birth date 03/20/2023), and her adoption fee is $85. Twirl has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
