A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Piccolo — a playful, sensitive soul who just needs a little time to shine. Piccolo was surrendered to us when his owner could no longer care for him, and he’s already proving what a wonderful, loyal companion he can be. He has a moderate-to-high energy level and absolutely loves to run, jump, and play—especially when there’s a ball involved! Whether it’s a game of catch or a fun walk, Piccolo is always ready to be on the move. He can be a bit shy at first and may come across as unsure when meeting new people (he’s got a little “stranger danger”), but with patience—and a few tasty treats—he warms up and reveals his incredibly sweet and affectionate personality. Once you’re in his circle, he’s all about love, playtime, and companionship. Piccolo already knows some basic commands like “sit” and “shake,” and he’s eager to keep learning. He’s very food-motivated, which makes training a great bonding opportunity. He is still working on his manners, so he’ll benefit from consistent training and an experienced owner who can help guide him with structure and positive reinforcement. He’s crate trained and mostly housetrained, though he may have an occasional accident. He generally walks well on leash, though he can occasionally be reactive. We are actively working on improving this behavior through ongoing training. He has recently picked up a habit of chewing on his leash—something he’s already improving on with redirection. He can also be a bit sensitive to loud noises like thunder and shows some mild food possessiveness, so a home without young children would be the best fit. When it’s time to relax, Piccolo loves lounging on a soft blanket and quietly taking in his surroundings. He’s the perfect mix of playful energy and gentle companionship. Piccolo currently weighs about 47 lbs., (est. birth date 12/01/2024), and his adoption fee is $85. Piccolo has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
