A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Odie is a 4-year-old, 70lb American Bully/Pit mix who turns heads everywhere he goes! With one golden eye and the other the color of sea glass, his soulful gaze and under-bite perfectly matches his sweet, goofy personality. He’s great with cats, small animals, and dogs of all sizes, and he does wonderfully at daycare. He plays hard but responds quickly to redirection. With a moderate-to-low energy level, Odie is happy to sleep in, lounge around, and chew on a good toy, with occasional bursts of zoomies. He enjoys daily walks or yard time, and while a fenced yard isn’t required, it’s a plus. He’d thrive with another dog or in a busy household. A fenced yard isn’t required, but it would be a plus! Odie would thrive in a home with another dog to keep him entertained or a busier household where there’s plenty going on. Odie is fully house- and crate-trained (though he’d rather not be crated when you’re home) and is gentle with small children, but due to his size and enthusiasm, he’s best suited for a home with older kids. He knows his basics—sit, down, leave it, wait—and holds his commands well. He can be leash-reactive toward strangers or fast-moving objects, but he’s making great progress building confidence. Smart, loyal, and endlessly cuddly, Odie wants nothing more than to be by your side—on the couch, in the car, or out on an adventure. He’s smart, eager to please, and loyal to the core. Above all, Odie is a loving, snuggly companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side—whether that’s on the couch, in the car, or out on an adventure. Odie's DNA results say he is 63% American Bully and 37% American Pitbull Terrier. Odie currently weighs about 73.2lbs., is approximately 4 years old (est. birth date 11/20/2021), and his adoption fee is $185. Odie has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
