Biewer Terriers are small, elegant companion dogs known for their affectionate personalities, and playful nature. They often enjoy being close to their people and can make devoted, loving companions. Every dog is unique, and Dottie is looking for a patient family who will allow her time to build confidence and settle into her new surroundings. Dottie can be nervous when meeting new people, so she will need a calm, understanding home that gives her introductions at her own pace. Gentle encouragement, patience, and positive experiences will help her feel more comfortable and confident. She is also not currently able to walk on a leash, so her new family should be prepared to work with her slowly and positively as she learns this important skill. Because of her small size and leash limitations, Dottie requires a home with a secure, fenced-in yard that is safe for a small-breed dog. A secure outdoor space will allow her to enjoy fresh air and exercise while her family continues helping her gain confidence and learn new routines. At 1 year old, Dottie is past the tiny puppy stage but still has plenty of youthful energy, curiosity, and learning ahead of her. She is looking for a loving family who will provide consistency, patience, and reassurance as she grows into a confident companion.
