Meet Dycen! Dycen is a 7-year-old Shih Tzu with a big personality and an even bigger heart—once he’s in the right environment. This senior boy was surrendered to the county shelter before coming to us, and while he hasn’t quite shown his best manners here (he’s made it clear he’s not a fan of the shelter life!), we know he’ll shine once he’s comfortable in a calm, loving home. Dycen gets along well with dogs of all sizes and would do best in a quiet household with older children or teens who understand how to respect his space. He’s housetrained and already knows several commands—Sit, Down, Come, Wait, and Stay—though he could use a little refresher on leash manners since he tends to pull when excited and jumps on people. Dycen just needs someone patient who can see past his stress and give him the time and love he deserves. With the right family, this little guy is sure to settle in and show what a wonderful companion he can be. Dycen currently weighs about 13lbs., is approximately 7 years old (est. birth date 02/03/2018), and his adoption fee is $315. Dycen has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
