Meet Kane Xavier! Kane is a 1-year-old Chocolate Labrador who came to us when his owner could no longer care for him. True to his breed, Kane is playful, loving, and full of energy, but he also has a sweet, gentle side that makes him a wonderful companion. He is both housetrained and crate trained, and he already knows several commands, including Sit, Go Home, and Paw/Shake. Kane loves playing with dogs and does well with kids, though he still has some typical puppy habits—like being mouthy during play and teething. With consistency and positive training, he’ll continue to grow into an even more well-mannered boy. Kane has a moderate-to-high energy level and will thrive with an active family who can give him plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. At mealtimes, he prefers his space—he may growl or snap if interrupted while eating—so it’s best to let him enjoy his food without disturbance. Once he’s finished, he heads right outside to do his business. With patience and love, he’s sure to be a loyal best friend for years to come!
