A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Nikki! Nikki is a gentle 6-year-old mixed breed who’s ready for a fresh start after being abandoned by the only home she knew. She spent much of her life outdoors, but she’s quickly discovering how wonderful it feels to be part of a loving family. This sweet girl is the perfect mix of calm and playful. She loves curling up beside you for cuddles, but she also enjoys showing off her silly, fun side. Nikki is house-trained, crate-trained, and already knows her commands—sit, lay down, and up—making her an easy fit into a new home. She’s friendly, affectionate, and welcoming to everyone she meets. While she can get a little anxious when first left alone, it passes quickly and she settles just fine. Overall, Nikki is an incredibly loving, loyal companion who deserves all the love the world has to give. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly, and well-mannered pup who’s ready to be your best friend, Nikki may be the one for you! Nikki is currently undergoing treatments for heartworm disease. Until she has completed her treatments and is fully recovered, Nikki is available for adoption only in the Atlanta area; She must be able to come to Furkids' shelter for treatments. Nikki weighs 50lbs and is approximately 6 years old (est. birth date 06/12/2019). Nikki has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet.
