Animal Bio

Palmer is a 1 year old precious little 4-5 pound Pomeranian. We rescued him as part of a hoarding case and while he can be timid at first, he warms up quickly and his loving nature and funny antics shine through once he feels comfortable. Palmer is very shy and sweet, and has really come out of his shell - he loves to snuggle on laps and be close to his people. He does the most adorable tippy taps when he gets excited, and stands up on his back legs, which is so cute! He does very well with his foster’s two older elementary aged kids, who go slowly with him and are gentle with his small stature. He also loves to play with his foster’s resident Pom, who brings out his playful side. He would benefit from having another small dog in the home. He is a great lover of naps and will curl up by your side. He is a snuggler extraordinaire and will sleep right next to his people during the night. Palmer does great walking on his leash and gets so excited for neighborhood walks. He uses pee pads consistently and is making great strides with going potty outside. With consistency and routine, he should continue to make potty training progress. We have had a lot of interest in these babies, so we are prioritizing applications based on experience with the breed and the appropriate setting for a hoarding case dog. Palmer weighs about 5 lbs and is approximately 1 year old (est. birth date 07/03/2024). Palmer has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. Palmer's adoption fee is $510. If you want more information about Palmer, please submit a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.
