A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Lucky – Your New Best Friend! Lucky is a fun-loving, energetic pup with a heart full of joy and a personality that charms everyone he meets. A volunteer favorite, Lucky lives for playtime—whether it’s chasing tennis balls, playing fetch in the yard, or lounging with a stick after a good game. He even loves drinking from the hose and showering his favorite humans with kisses! This smart boy is housebroken, food-motivated, and eager to please. He knows commands like “sit,” “drop it,” and comes running when you call, “Lucky, here!” With gentle guidance, Lucky continues to build confidence on leash, though he does like to chew on it—so a metal leash is recommended. Lucky will thrive as the only dog in the home due to some resource guarding, and he has a special soft spot for teenagers. He can be shy around unfamiliar men at first, but with patience and consistency, he forms strong, loyal bonds. Sweet, smart, and always looking for direction, Lucky is ready to bring love, laughter, and plenty of kisses to his forever home! Lucky weighs 53lbs. and is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 11/30/2022). Lucky has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet.
