Animal Bio
We found Lavender at a county shelter with what was left of her litter of 8 puppies, some of which had already passed - found out in the freezing cold. Thanks to our fosters, who took them in and nurtured them, all but one of the surviving pups have been adopted and Lavender is ready to find her furever home. Lavender was almost totally shut down when she came to us but has learned that she can give and accept love from her foster. She’s learned improved leash skills, is totally potty trained and gets along with everyone, including dogs, cats and humans. Whoever adopts Lavender simply needs patience and the willingness to love this incredible animal into being the loving, trusting companion she wants to be. Kids in any household will need to go slow and let her approach them first. You won’t ever find a sweeter dog. All she needs is a chance. Lavender currently weighs about 41lbs., is almost 2 years old (est. birth date 08/28/2023), and her adoption fee is $315. Lavender has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Lavender, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.
