Barb has already been through more than most cats will ever face, and she's still the sweetest girl you'll ever meet. In October 2025, Barb was riding in the Furkids TransFUR van on her way to a shelter in Vermont when the van was caught in a pile-up crash. Remarkably, Barb walked away without a single injury. She's a true little survivor. After the accident, our team noticed a mass in Barb's mouth along with some dental issues. She recently had several teeth extracted and is feeling much better, though she still has some mild inflammation. Barb's new family should know that she may need her remaining teeth removed in the future if signs of oral pain return or her inflammation worsens. Plenty of cats live full, happy lives with few or no teeth, and Barb deserves a family who will help her get there. Barb is an incredibly sweet young cat who can be a little shy when she first meets someone new. Give her some time and patience, and you'll find a gentle, loving companion underneath. She adores other cats and would thrive in a home with another kitty to play with and keep her company. Of all the kittens rescued from that accident, Barb is the last one still waiting at the shelter. She has been so brave through everything, and now all she needs is a forever home of her own.
