Darling is a 10-year-old Terrier mix with the sweetest, most loving heart. She’s a total sweetheart who lives to give and receive affection—whether that’s snuggling in your lap, sleeping beside you, or simply being by your side.
Though she’s technically a senior, Darling has a youthful spirit and brings joy to everyday life. She is partially deaf and partially blind, but she navigates the world with impressive confidence—following routines, distinguishing light and dark, and getting around just fine. Watching her adapt and thrive is truly special.
Darling does best in a home with other dogs and is happiest when she’s part of a pack. She takes comfort in her canine companions and often follows their lead, which helps her feel secure and engaged.
She enjoys walks and does well on a harness with gentle guidance and treats. At home, she’s confident and capable—she can hop onto the couch or bed and loves being close to her people (preferably in your lap!).
Darling does have stage 2 heart disease and will need lifelong medication (Vetmedin) and routine echocardiograms every six months. It’s well-managed and doesn’t slow her down.
Darling is looking for a loving home that will cherish her for the special, resilient little dog she is. She will reward you with endless love and companionship.
Darling weighs about 12 lbs and her adoption fee is $315. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, and microchipped. To learn more, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog
