Animal Bio

Meet Banjo! This sweet beagle is estimated to be around 2 years old and was rescued along with several other beagles from a local animal control hoarding case. Despite having very minimal human exposure in the past, Banjo is incredibly loving and is learning what it means to be a “normal” dog every day. Banjo is good with other dogs and is crate trained. He’s not fully housetrained yet but is making progress, and he already knows some basic commands. True to his breed, Banjo isn’t afraid to be vocal and enjoys howling, so a home without close neighbors (like an apartment) would be best. Because of his background, Banjo will need a patient adopter and a secure fenced yard, as he’s not quite ready for leash walks just yet. With time, consistency, and love, he’s sure to blossom into a wonderful companion. Banjo currently weighs about 24lbs., is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 12/20/2023), and his adoption fee is $315. Banjo has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
