Meet Cheyenne!
Cheyenne is a loyal, intelligent, and deeply devoted companion who’s looking for the right home to match her strong personality and big heart. This beautiful girl is a true family dog who bonds closely with her people—especially the women in the household. Because she can be protective and a bit anxious, she would do best in a calm home with older children (10+) and experienced owners who understand canine behavior and leadership.
Cheyenne is an alpha-type dog who thrives when she knows her place in the pack. She does well with other submissive dogs but would not be a good fit for a home with cats, as it took significant training for her to coexist peacefully with one in the past.
She’s not much of a “toy and fetch” kind of pup—Cheyenne prefers roaming the yard, sunbathing, and going for car rides. She can be uneasy about grooming, so she tolerates brushing and has her nails done professionally. Due to her anxiety, Cheyenne needs to be crated when left alone, and she’ll come with her special crate and bed to help her feel secure.
Her ideal home would be one with a yard or property to explore, and someone who works from home or has shorter days away, so she can enjoy plenty of companionship. Once she trusts you, she’s incredibly affectionate—she loves to be petted, give kisses, and stay close to her favorite person.
Cheyenne truly is a wonderful, loving dog who just needs the right environment to feel safe, confident, and adored. With patience and understanding, she’ll be your most loyal friend. Cheyenne currently weighs about 67 lbs., is approximately 5 years old (est. birth date 01/13/2020), and her adoption fee is $185. Cheyenne has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
