A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Lady Jade, a beautiful 10-year-old chocolate Labrador Retriever with a gentle heart and a calm, loving presence. She’s truly a gentle giant who enjoys the simple things—cozy naps, leisurely strolls, and spending quality time with her people. Lady Jade is incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle, often “hugging” you by wrapping her neck around yours when she’s laying beside you. She also enjoys toys of all kinds, especially balls, and meal time is easily her favorite part of the day. When she’s not eating, playing, or soaking up attention, you’ll find her happily lounging on the couch or her bed. Lady Jade does wonderfully with children and would thrive in a home with a family, as she absolutely adores being around kids. She would do best as the only dog in the home, as she can be uncomfortable around new dogs, possibly due to protectiveness over her toys. A calm, structured environment where she can be properly managed and feel secure will help her shine. She does have some medical considerations. A gastric mass was previously identified, but it has shown no progression, and she is currently comfortable and stable. She also has a chicken allergy, so she will need to remain on a strictly chicken-free diet. We believe in full transparency and will review all of her medical history and ongoing care with any potential adopter. Lady Jade can be a bit mischievous when left alone and may get into things—especially around mealtime—so crating is recommended when she’s unsupervised. With the right setup and routine, she settles in well and thrives. In return, Lady Jade offers unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and a steady, comforting presence. She’s the kind of companion who will happily stay by your side, making every day a little warmer just by being there. Lady Jade currently weighs about 82lbs., is approximately 9 years old (est. birth date 05/17/2016), and her adoption fee is $185. Lady Jade has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
