She’s house-trained, full of energy, and highly food-motivated—she already knows commands like sit and lay down, and would thrive with continued training and enrichment. Whitney loves to play rough and tumble with other high-energy dogs and would do best in an active household that can match her zest for life. Once her daily exercise needs are met, she’s happy to unwind and cuddle on the couch with her favorite person. She’s not crate trained, so a fenced-in privacy yard is essential—Whitney’s smart enough to scale a chain-link fence! This loyal girl may be a little cautious when meeting new people, especially men, but with patience and love, she quickly forms deep bonds. She may show some mild possessiveness once comfortable, but never in an aggressive way—just her way of guarding her heart. Whitney has a strong prey drive (she can’t resist chasing deer!), so a home without small animals would be best. She also tends to chew if left with tempting items, so durable toys are a must.
