Meet Rio! Rio is a gentle, loving soul with a heart full of affection and a calm, quiet presence. This sweet girl is housetrained, crate trained, and always ready to curl up for a cozy nap by your side. With her tender nature and soft demeanor, she brings a warm and peaceful energy wherever she goes. A true social butterfly, Rio loves meeting new people and is especially fond of children—she's shown to be great with kids and gets along well with other dogs. She’s always happy to make new friends, especially if they come bearing treats! Smart and eager to please, Rio already knows how to sit for treats and would benefit from continued basic training to help her settle fully into home life. As a proud mom to a litter of puppies, Rio’s nurturing side shines through in everything she does. Despite her past, she remains trusting, affectionate, and full of love. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to fill your home with warmth and quiet joy, Rio may just be your perfect match. Rio is currently undergoing treatments for heartworm disease. Until she has completed her treatments and is fully recovered, Rio is available for adoption only in the Atlanta area; She must be able to come to Furkids' shelter for treatments. Rio weighs 49lbs and is approximately 3 years old (est. birth date 06/10/2022). Rio has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
