Ten years ago, I found myself with some free time on my hands. At that time, my friend Beth had been volunteering for Furkids for about six months. She told me to come with her one week to help. I have always loved cats and dogs, so I thought, why not. I went with her that first week and then the next week and so on. That was 10 years ago. I do my best to schedule my vacations and work trips around my day at Furkids. I always fall in love with certain cats, from that first week, I fell in love with Mr. Belvedere to now when I love Blue, Missouri, Martin, Black Angel, etc. I still do not have any cats of my own (cat allergies) but I enjoy spending that little bit of time each week with the kitties, it is my moment of Zen.
