IN THE BEGINNING....was Mr. Cool. A black cat that came out of the PetSmart cage and onto his forever lap.

It was the first year of Furkids and I had lost both of my cats to natural causes, and I needed a pal. I went to the Perimeter PetSmart on my lunch hour and found my new love: a 2-year-old male black cat. A few days later, I came to pick him up...and met a woman who was to become one of my very best friends - Samantha Shelton.

Throughout the years, Furkids gave me a new life of volunteering, love and friendship. I fostered kittens from time to time, and Mr. Cool helped. Because of that, we affectionately dubbed him Papa.

Before moving to Michigan we adopted 2 more Furkids...All who have since gone over Rainbow Bridge. After all, it was a very long time ago. 😊

Thank you to Furkids...and especially to my dear friend Sam...for such great experiences and laughter and, of course, cats.
