After losing one of my fur babies, I came back to Furkids in October of 2007 to find a companion for my Emmylou girl. As I wandered around the shelter looking at all of the beautiful feline faces, one of the volunteers said to me "I know you said you wanted an older cat but a foster mom just came by with a litter of kittens. Why don't you take a look."

We walked out to the main hallway and she opened this big crate and I don't know how many kittens came running out. All of them jetted past me except one adorable gray/white baby who ran over to my leg, puffed up her back and quivered her tail while gazing adoringly at me. That was it; she had claimed me.

Emmylou was not all that pleased but has grown to love her sassy little sister. They are not cuddle buddies but they lay close to each other and love to play.

Stella is a love-bug who enjoys giving kisses, greeting me at the door, wagging her tail and laying on top of me while I sleep.
