In June 2008 we decided to adopt a dog. We went to an adoption event for Small Dog Rescue and started looking at pups. The volunteers there told us they had a great dog for us. We met Lucky, and he was indeed the perfect dog for us. He continued to be a wonderful part of our family for 9 years, through several health issues, but he always had a happy tail wag and kisses for us. And we were always there for him. This past summer, 9 years to the day since we brought him home, we said goodbye to Lucky. He had a wonderful life and we loved him dearly.

This past week we decided we were ready to love another pup. We brought home Clever (Now named Toast) just a couple of days ago. So far he is fitting in beautifully with our family, and is a worthy successor to Lucky's legacy.
