Hawkeye - Adopted after 7 Years

Posted on Saturday, March 29th

Hawkeye was rescued from Fulton County Animal Services in 2007 by Small Dog Rescue. Surely someone would adopt such a cute little dog quickly, right? Shortly after rescue, he went to foster care with, Nelly and Guillermo, a wonderful couple that have helped foster and save more than 100 dogs during their time with us. Nelly and Guillermo have such a passion for animal rescue that when they visit Cancun multiple times a year, they rescue and help spay and neuter many street animals in Mexico. While we don't comprehend how someone could let go of their beloved family member, we are happy and willing to give them the care they deserve in their golden years. For the next seven years Mersey was in and out of homes, never resulting in a forever home with a bed to rest her head. Her quest for a home was promoted nationally in publications and she even had… READ MORE >
