Nova’s journey has been quite an adventure - all the way from the beaches of Puerto Rico to here! This almost 5-year-old black Pitbull mix is as radiant as her name suggests. She was adopted once and loved dearly, but found herself back with us when her owner had to move and couldn’t take her along. Now, Nova is hoping her next chapter will be her forever one. Nova is housetrained, food-motivated, and full of zest for life. She thrives in an active lifestyle. She’s been working with a trainer to strengthen her leash manners, recall, and commands, and she’s eager to keep learning (especially if treats are involved). She enjoys playtime with dogs her size who can match her enthusiastic energy, and she’d love a fenced-in yard where she can safely zoom and chase her favorite backyard “lizards.” Because of her prey drive, Nova should not live with cats, and she’d do best in an adult-only home where she can enjoy peace, predictability, and plenty of one-on-one time with her people. Nova has been waiting far too long for her second chance. She’s loyal, loving, and so ready to find the active, committed family she truly belongs with. Could that be you?
