Meet Kuro! Kuro is a 5-year-old Poodle/Retriever mix with the softest curls, the sweetest eyes, and a heart that’s been waiting a long time for the right person to love. He’s housetrained, crate trained, and once he settles in his crate, he relaxes well. Kuro is one of those dogs who forms a deep, meaningful bond with his people. He is incredibly affectionate—leaning in for cuddles, following you from room to room, and soaking up every bit of love you offer. He just wants to feel safe and connected to his person. Because Kuro cares so deeply, he can sometimes feel the need to guard things that matter to him. For that reason, he’ll thrive best in a calm, adult-only home with no young children, where his boundaries can be respected and his confidence can continue to grow. Although he gets along with other dogs, he would do best to be the only dog in the home, where he can relax and truly be himself. Kuro isn’t a dog who wants the whole world—he just wants his person. Someone patient, kind, and steady. Someone who will give him the security he’s been searching for. In return, he’ll give you unwavering loyalty, gentle affection, and a companionship that feels truly special. Kuro currently weighs about 20 lbs., is approximately 5 years old (est. birth date 02/21/2020), and his adoption fee is $510. Kuro has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
