A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Billie! Billie is a 2-year-old Shepherd/Hound mix with a gentle heart and a sensitive soul. She is a very sweet girl who can be skittish and nervous around strangers, so people will need to go very slow with her as she learns to feel safe and comfortable. Billie does well with other dogs and would thrive in a calm, quiet home with patient adopters who understand the importance of giving her time and space to build trust. She is house-trained and, despite her shyness, walks beautifully on leash. She is also quite curious and enjoys exploring her surroundings at her own pace. Once Billie begins to feel secure, her loving personality truly shines—she likes to gently lean against people’s legs and seeks quiet affection, making her a loyal and devoted companion. Due to her skittish nature, Billie will need a fenced yard and is not a good fit for homes with small or young children. With patience, consistency, and love, Billie will blossom into an incredibly affectionate and loyal best friend for the right family. Billie currently weighs about 47lbs., is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 06/10/2023), and his adoption fee is $85. Billie has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.
