Meet Canelo! He is a 12 year-old Cocker Spaniel. This senior boy is looking for a quiet home to spend his golden years. This sweet soul has overcome so much, showing incredible resilience and love along the way. He recently underwent surgery to remove a melanoma from his toe, and while the procedure was largely successful, some cancer cells unfortunately still remain but have not spread. Despite this, he is feeling so much better and hasn’t let the loss of a toe slow him down in any way. He continues to embrace each day with joy, wagging his tail at every opportunity for love and companionship. He deserves a home where he can be cherished, surrounded by kindness, warmth, and unconditional love. He has dry eye, which will require ongoing medication but isn't severe. This boy LOVES his food and treats and just needs a soft couch where he can settle with his people. He walks well on leash. He is good in his crate, so potty training won't be difficult. Canelo currently weighs about 33lbs., is approximately 12 years old (est. birth date 12/10/2012), and his adoption fee is $85. Canelo has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
